Yes. The official v3/v4 client can't talk to v2 servers, so this tool includes its own Engine.IO 3 client. If a connection fails because of a version mismatch, one click switches versions.

HTTP long-polling from a browser needs the server's cors option to allow this site. The WebSocket transport, the default here, isn't subject to CORS — so it usually just works.
